The Tweak cube is a modular fidget toy that is designed to stimulate your senses to allow you to focus on more demanding tasks.

The intended audience for this product are young adults due to the incorporation of smaller elements. People who have ADHD or have trouble focusing without expelling energy may find the Tweak Cube most beneficial.

Process

Our goal for this project was to design a small product that could benefit a specific group of people with disabilities.

I wanted to create a product that could be extremely customizable and modular, so that it could be tailored to the user’s wishes. To accomplish this, I started doing some ideating for some products that people could customize and physically interact with on a deeper level.

Prototyping

With the idea in mind, I started creating prototypes of the product. During the prototyping process, I realized that the play mat that I had in mind functioned better as a handheld toy rather than a full-sized playmat. With this new revelation, I began testing out different textures and patterns through my prototyping.
